Motorhome Hire Terms and Conditions

By hiring a motorhome from Exmoor Escapes, the hirer agrees to abide by the following terms and conditions.

1. General Terms.

1.2. The motorhome must be returned in the same condition as it was provided.

1.3 You will be charged £100 to make reservation of your hire. This is non refundable and will be put towards your final price.

1.4. The hirer must hold a valid driving licence and meet the age and insurance requirements stipulated by Exmoor Escapes.

1.5. A security deposit of £1000 must be paid at least one week prior to collection of the Motorhome. If the security deposit is not paid in time, your booking will be cancelled and a cancellation fee will be charged as per our Cancellation Policy. The Security deposit will be refunded upon the return of the motorhome in a satisfactory condition.

2. Collection and Return

2.1. The motorhome must be collected and returned at the agreed times and location.

2.2. Any late return may incur additional charges at the discretion of Exmoor Escapes.

2.3. Upon return, the motorhome must be:

• Clean and in the same condition as provided.

• With an empty waste water tank.

• With an empty toilet waste cassette.

• With a full tank of fuel.

3. Additional Fees

3.1. Failure to return the motorhome in the required condition may result in the following charges:

• Full waste water: £15

• Full toilet waste: £50

• Refuelling to a full tank: £15 + Cost of Fuel

3.2. Additional cleaning fees may apply if the motorhome is returned in an unsatisfactory condition beyond normal usage.

3.3. Damage to the motorhome or its equipment will be assessed, and repair costs may be deducted from the security deposit or charged separately.

3.3 A mileage limit of 1000 miles per 7 days will apply to the hire, unless agreed in advance with Exmoor Escapes. A charge of 40p per mile will apply if this limit is exceeded.

3.4 A small extra of £30 per dog is to be added to your booking in the event any dogs are taken in the Motorhome.

3.5 A small extra of £25 per night will be applied to the hire price of the Motorhome in the event the Motorhome is taken abroad.

4. Insurance and Liability

4.1 The hirer is not required to take out any additional insurance to cover their trip. Exmoor Escapes has insurance that will cover you to drive the vehicle, included in the price of hire.

4.1. The hirer is responsible for any damage, loss, or theft of the motorhome and its contents during the hire period.

4.2. The hirer must comply with all road traffic laws and ensure safe usage of the vehicle at all times.

4.3. Any accidents or breakdowns must be reported to Exmoor Escapes immediately.
